Prairie Plein Air Artists

The Liberty Memorial Bridge  411 Fraine Barracks Rd, Bismarck – 7:30PM to 9:30PM.  Park across the street at 701 Cycle and Sport (Epic Sports) . A new full moon is expected to rise at 7:49PM. Plan to bring a light source for your palette, such as a headlamp, or some other form of lighting. There is general light from the Memorial Light Poles but additional light is needed to see color correctly!

PPAA Exhibition at Bismarck Downtown Arts Cooperative, 222 Nth 4^th St, Bismarck, ND—Sept 6-28, 2024. Reception Sept 6th.

September 10 (Tuesday)- Ft Lincoln State Park, 4480 Fort Lincoln Rd, Mandan- 5: 30PM-8:00PMMeet in visitors parking lot. We will disburse from there to paint. Note: You will need a park pass. Hoping for fall colors.

Sept 4(Wednesday) – McDowell Dam Park, 1951 93^rd St. NE, East of Bismarck, 5:30PM to 8:00PM. Drive past the Apple Creek Country Club entrance, look for a brown sign and turn left (north) continue until you come to the park entrance. Meet at the far north (last) parking lot.

August 28 ( Wednesday) – Chief Lookings Village Park, 2023 Burnt Boat Drive, Bismarck.  – 5:30PM to 8:00PM. On the bluff park overlooking the Missouri River toward Mandan, a large vista!

August 20 (Tuesday) – Buckstop Junction, 3805 E Bismarck Expressway, Bismarck – 5:30PM to 8:00pm- Historic buildings, machinery & cars.

August 14 (Wednesday)-St George’s Episcopal  Church and Historic Governor’s Mansion, 601 N 4^th St, Bismarck. 6:00PM to 8:30PM

August 3 & 4 (Saturday & Sunday)- Bismarck Arts and Galleries Association -Capital A’Fair, Capitol Grounds, Bismarck- 10:00AM to 1:00PM each day- We will paint in the northwest corner of the mall area. We will be west and south of the chalk artists who are in front of the Capitol. There will be a PPAA sign.

July 30 (Tueday) – Sweetbriar Dam, West of Mandan, 6:00PM-8:30PM.  Location is 21 miles west of Mandan on Interstate 94. Take exit #134 and continue north to the second right turn.  Continue to the boat ramp parking lot to meet at 6:00pm.  It is about 30 minutes from Mandan so allow sufficient time.

No scheduled paint out this week. However you are encouraged pick a location you would like to paint. Using the buddy system and invite a fellow PPAA member to paint with you!
